Save money on Air Freshener

Just throw a vase or bowl full of vinegar where the stink usually comes from. Not only is it cheap, but you can use it to clean pennies aftewards!

Not for use in cars for obvious reasons. If you don't know why please discard your driver's license.

Put that junk mail to good use

Open the junk, cut off the first 1/3 of the junk and put your list on the back of that slip. Stick your coupons in the envelope and head to the store!

Make your own bath towels

Go to the fabric store and buy terry cloth in the size you'd like to have your towels. Surge the edges or zig zag them. Voila luxurious towels for your hair at 1/3 the cost!

Home made for your skin.

Olive oil is a humectant meaning it draws moisture out of the air. Something like the silica they put in your shoes that you aren't supposed to eat. The goal here is to get as much moisture to stay close to your skin as possible.

Step 1.
Splash a bit of water over your face to help the olive oil adhere.

Step 2.
Rub some olive oil between your hands and rub gently into your face.

Recycle your paint thinner.

Pour the dirty paint thinner into a wide mouth plastic container. Cap it and leave it until you need to clean something again. The sludge settles out eventually and you can pour the clear liquid off the top. Eventually there will be too much crap in there for you to use it, but you've saved a lot of money and the environment to boot.

Label it and drop it off at a hazardous waste depot young man!

Renew your wiper blades.

Wipe those puppies down with a bit of rubbing alcohol to get the road gunk off them. If that doesn't work, run over them once each side with some coarse sandpaper.

If that doesn't work, pray it doesn't rain!

Use less laundry detergent

Keep track of your laundry detergent caps. Once in a while the manufacturer will try slipping you a larger cap, getting you to use more of their product. Simply use the old cap and you're good to go!

Get more juice out of that lemon!

Nuke the lemon for 25 seconds in the microwave. Take the lemon out, roll it around a bit on your favorite hard surface. Slit the lemon and squeeze out more lemon juice than you can shake a stick at!

Save money on dryer sheets and fabric softener

Fabric softener not only costs a lot of money, but it's bad for your dryer. The chemicals on dryer sheets will actually clog up your lint trap, making it less effective, and potentially burning it out. Instead try this useful trick:

Add one cup of vinegar to your rinse water! This will dissolve any detergent left on your clothing, the real reason that clothes are scratchy.

Discount Codes for Online Stores

Sales online are great, but lets face it, half the time shipping is outrageous. Do a quick search on Google for discount codes. Just type in the store's name and then add "discount codes". Try it here! So many will pop up you'll be impressed!
